Ingrèdiènts
- 1 prèparèd, unbakèd 9-inch piè crust: top and bottom crust (GF Option: usè glutèn-frèè piè crust)
- 5 - 7 applès
- 3/4 cup sugar (or to tastè)
- 3 tablèspoons instant tapioca OR 2 tablèspoon cornstarch
- 1/8 tèaspoon salt
- 3 tèaspoons applè piè spicè
- 2 tablèspoons buttèr, mèltèd
Instructions
- Prèparè homèmadè piè crust or usè storè purchasèd piè crust (top and bottom crust nèèdèd)
- In a largè mixing bowl, parè and cut applès into thin slicès.
- In a sèparatè mixing bowl combinè sugar, instant tapioca, salt and applè piè spicè; mix togèthèr wèll. Sprinklè ovèr applè slicès; stir.
- Pour applès into a 9-inch piè crust; covèr with top crust and trim and shapè èdgès. With a knifè, makè 4 - 5 slits in thè top crust for vèntilation. Brush with buttèr.
- Bakè in a prèhèatèd 350 dègrèè F ovèn for approx. 1 hour.
- Sèrvè warm with a scoop of cinnamon or vanilla icè crèam or dollop of frèshly whippèd crèam.
